A hundred years ago, the building itself was home to Preston Rose Printing before being reimagined with multiple uses in the decades following. In 2005, renowned architect Keith Summerour took on the task of updating the building, highlighting its unique features, and maintaining its historic charm. This one-of-a-kind venue is a beautiful balance of industrial elegance and Tuscan charm.

Details of the Grounds
Summerour Studio has both an indoor and an outdoor wedding space that can be used with versatility to create your perfect event.
When your guests arrive, they’ll enter through a beautiful walled courtyard. Despite being located in downtown Atlanta, you’ll feel transported to a Tuscan villa with rustic brick arches and columns covered in crawling ivy. Strings of bistro lights hang overhead, adding a romantic touch to the space as the sun begins to set. The cobblestone floor is reminiscent of an old-world era, a perfect finishing touch to a truly unique space.
Courtyard Ceremony
If you choose to use the courtyard for your ceremony, you and your partner can exchange vows standing on the small set of brick steps leading into the building. You’ll say “I do” against a backdrop of gray stucco walls and rich wooden doors as well as window frames adorned in strings of ivy. It’s a remarkable space full of romance, vibrancy, and texture. Perfect for an intimate ceremony surrounded by your closest friends and family.
Inside the Summerour Studio
Inside the Summerour Studio wedding venue, you’ll find an expansive wedding space that makes a big statement. With over 8,000 square feet of event space, the venue can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 425 guests! The impressive ceiling is supported by massive bow trusses that make a visual impact while also allowing the space to stand tall without columns that disrupt the open space. The ceiling is a gorgeous contrast of warm wood and steel beams for a look that’s as timeless as it is trendy.
At one end of the room, a beautiful, hand-crafted wood replica of Michelangelo’s Laurentian Library staircase makes a bold statement. It also makes the perfect entrance for a bride and wedding party should you use the indoor space for a ceremony or a grand entrance to a reception. At the other end of the room is a gorgeous built-in bar, perfect for serving your guests and keeping the drinks flowing all night long.
The studio has a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that look out into Atlanta’s downtown industrial district, with views of Atlantic Station and Midtown. It’s a beautiful contrast to the secret oasis of a courtyard that lies on the other side of the building. Bistro lights hang overhead for an extra special touch that reflects the rustic Tuscan lighting of the courtyard.

Summerour Studio utilizes its exclusive in-house caterer for all food service and catering needs. Bold Catering & Design offers a variety of menu selections, many of which are featured on the menus of their acclaimed local restaurants (South City Kitchen, Ecco, La Tavola, and Lure, among others.) You and your partner will share your first meal together as a married couple. Surrounded by friends and family, toasting your promising future full of love and laughter.
As for your other vendors, you can use any florist, decorator, planner, or entertainment you like! Bold American Events is their preferred vendor should you need a recommendation. But aside from catering and bar services, you’ll have the freedom to utilize whomever you choose.
