About The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Wedding Venue

The reputation of the Waldorf Astoria precedes the hotel. The original Waldorf Astoria was built in Manhattan in 1930 and quickly became a place for cultural figures, political leaders, musicians, and royalty to gather. The epitome of elegance and opulence, its legendary service set the standard for American hospitality in a golden era.

Today, the Waldorf Astoria’s legacy of sophistication and exceptional service lives on in its satellite hotels, including the one right here in Atlanta’s stylish Buckhead neighborhood. While only constructed and opened in 2008, you’ll still feel the original hotel’s legacy for finesse and grandeur throughout its Buckhead resort.

The hotel has 127 guest rooms, perfect for accommodating your out-of-town guests (or in-town guests looking for a fabulous excuse for a luxury staycation.) The convenience of a resort wedding is an underestimated perk, eliminating transportation needs and providing your guests the practicality of staying onsite, where an outfit or shoe change may only be a short elevator ride away. Plus, with a gorgeous indoor pool, world-class dining, and the acclaimed Waldorf Astoria Spa as additional amenities, you won’t even need to leave the hotel to experience a luxury vacation!

Details of the Grounds

The Waldorf Astoria’s event spaces allow plenty of flexibility when planning your dream wedding. Whether you intend to host a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception onsite or perhaps just a mix of one or two, their indoor and outdoor gathering sites can accommodate guest lists of up to 250 people.

Should you plan to host your ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria, you will also receive access to a Bridal Suite, fully furnished and with plenty of amenities for added comfort and pampering. Plus, you’ll have the peace of mind of not needing to think about traveling from one place to another with your hair and makeup already pristine and perfect.

One of the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead’s biggest draws is the ability to use their private garden for an intimate and romantic wedding ceremony that feels like something out of a vintage storybook. With enough room for up to 100 guests, the garden’s gorgeous fountain, lush landscaping, and bistro lighting make it an enchanting place to exchange vows.

Add floating flowers or candles to the fountain for an even more opulent look, and decorate a stylish archway with greenery or florals for a true statement of your wedding aesthetic. Plus, the garden is tucked away into a private courtyard, so you’ll feel like you’re saying “I do” in a secluded paradise surrounded by your closest friends and family.

The garden also makes an excellent location for a cocktail hour, where guests can mingle and meander through the greenery and flowers with a signature cocktail or a glass of Champagne in hand.

For your reception, the Waldorf Astoria has a variety of indoor spaces that are as refined and elegant as the rest of the resort. With sophisticated yet neutral décor, every space is a beautiful canvas to bring your unique color palette and design choices, transforming the room into the wedding of your dreams. Their ballroom spaces feature decorative elements like stylish carpeting, elegant drapery, large windows, and gorgeous chandeliers. Whether you’re planning a celebration for 250 or an intimate dinner party for 20, they have the perfect space to set the scene for an unforgettable event.

The Wisteria Room, The Azalea Room, The Taipan Room, and the Astor Ballroom

The Wisteria Room features soft carpeting, wall-mounted lighting, hanging chandeliers, tall windows, and elegant curtains. The Azalea Room can fit 45 to 200 guests, featuring unique carpeting, wall light fixtures, hanging lamps, sleek drapery, and plenty of soft lighting and white elements to make this a cozy spot to host a small indoor ceremony. The Taipan Room is an elegant room that can host up to 100 guests. It features marble tile floors, floor-to-ceiling windows with a garden view, unique chandeliers and wall-mounted lighting, luxurious drapery, and plenty of space to host a warm, inviting reception. The Taipan room can also host cocktail hour.

This room can fit 24-250 guests, and the adjoining terrace can accommodate 20-30 guests. The Astor Ballroom also has a pre-function space that can accommodate 40-100 guests and host cocktails or appetizers before the reception.

The wedding packages include a bridal suite for a space to get ready.
