3 Reasons to consider booking a Foxhall Resort Wedding!

When searching for a venue for your wedding day, it can be a bit overwhelming.  As a wedding photographer who has photographed  hundreds of weddings in and around the Atlanta and North Georgia area, I am often asked about venue suggestions. I could write a book on wedding venues alone!  There are so many things to consider when thinking about your possible wedding venue;

• Does the venue match the overall vibe of your wedding?
• Do you need getting ready, ceremony and reception space?
• Does the lighting match your vision?
• Is there ample room for a rain plan?
• Is there ample parking, how difficult is it to get around the venue?
• Handicap accessible for older guests or guests with special needs?
• What is the maximum or minimum capacity?
• Are you free to pick your own vendors?
• Is there heat, air?  This one has surprised me more than once at a wedding!
• Are the restrooms ample and convenient?
• Will there be a day of coordinator ( you will most likely still want and need your own- that another conversation for another day) or someone that represent the venue on site in case a need arises?
• Do you have the venue, for the day, the night before?  When can you access it and when do you need to depart?
• What are the google reviews?
• Is the venue close to the airport and or lodging?

There are a ton of things to consider, but if you landed here and you’re considering a Foxhall Resort Wedding, here are three reasons you may want to consider it!

1. Space-If you choose a Foxhall Resort Wedding, there are several options to choose from ranging in capacity from 60-250.   There are four different spaces that can be booked for weddings. I have photographed at both the Stables and Legacy Lookout.  Both venues were gorgeous and beautiful with space for outdoor and indoor weddings.  The Legacy Lookout is the largest of the two and guests had plenty of space inside and outside.  Both properties have porches, which is nice for shade and photographs! The Stables have a few horses for pictures which makes it unique.  Both spaces are timeless and classic, so totally my jam! Legacy Lookout and The Stables are beautifully lit with ample room for dancing and can be used as a backup rain plan if needed.
2. Accommodations and Things To Do-What makes this venue unique is that your wedding party and guests can stay at the Resort!  I love that, especially if your crowd enjoys the party.  You can have peace of mind that everyone is staying on the property after a night of fun! The activities are unique to this venue as well.  Your guests can partake in a variety of activities which include hiking, sporting clays, UTV tours, fishing, hunting, swimming, tennis, kayaking, paddleboarding , canoeing, lawn sports ( bocce, horseshoes, volleyball, croquet), and walks along the Chattahoochee River Walk.
3. Location- Foxhall Resort is located in Douglasville, Georgia about 35 minutes from the Atlanta Airport.  Need I say more!  Easy access for all your out of town guests, so getting to and from the airport is easy! The property is over 1, 100 acres in the Georgia countryside but very accessible to the airport and other lodging and restaurants.
