About The Blackberry Ridge Wedding Venue
You don’t need to travel to France for a French Country wedding aesthetic. Instead, host your wedding at Blackberry Ridge in North Georgia for a stunning event full of bright natural light, waterfront scenery, and shady groves of gorgeous trees. The property is the vision of owners Steven and Jackie Shaffer brought to life in 2021. They recognized a need for a European countryside-inspired venue and knew that they could be the ones to bring this magnificent space to life.
The venue resides on 180 acres of what used to be a golf course and features three picturesque ponds, wooded sites for intimate and outdoorsy ceremonies, and plenty of open spaces for incredible photos. Every detail of Blackberry Ridge has been carefully thought through and planned; all you have to do is decide where you’ll host your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on the property!
Details of the Grounds
Begin your wedding day by getting ready in the Bridal Suite and Groom’s Room, both spacious rooms that eliminate the need for off-site preparations. The Bridal Suite has a full-length mirror, salon stations perfect for hair and makeup, and lots of natural light for gorgeous getting-ready photos. The Groom’s Room has a tv and oversized leather furniture, perfect for unwinding and shaking off any wedding day jitters.
Your ceremony can occur in any number of outdoor spaces around the property, like beside one of their serene ponds or in one of the wide-open spaces outside the main venue. There are also ceremony sites with views of the nearby mountains, a gorgeous backdrop for an intimate vow exchange. If you want something closer to your reception space, their meticulously designed courtyard is perfect for a ceremony, intentionally designed for perfect romantic lighting.
For your reception, their 9,700-square-foot barn has an open floor plan perfect for hosting a grand celebration or an intimate dinner party. Its luxurious monochromatic design provides charm and elegance, serving as an ideal blank canvas for your wedding vision while letting in floods of bright, natural light.
With 30-foot ceilings, oversized chandeliers, and elevated loft balconies, you and your guests will enjoy an elegant evening (or afternoon!) in this beautifully crafted space. As an add-on, you can hang gorgeous white drapery from the ceilings for an extra touch of elegance. Plus, when you need a little fresh air, you can step out onto the oversized patio for dramatic views and sensational photo ops.
Photography Opportunities
There are endless opportunities for elegant and romantic photos at Blackberry Ridge, indoors or out. Their gorgeous property boasts plenty of trees, gardens, and other thoughtful landscaping for perfect photo backdrops. We can wander down to the ponds for waterfront portraits and walk the grounds to find the perfect mountain view to frame you and your partner. Their bistro-lit courtyard has gorgeous flowers and a brick archway perfect for rustic photos that exude the quintessential Blackberry Ridge French Country vibes for which they are best known.
Indoors, we can use the staircase for intimate photos of you and your partner or your wedding parties gathered around the happy couple. We’ll also get plenty of lovely photos of you and your parties preparing for the day in the Bridal Suite and Groom’s Room, so you can treasure those intimate moments every time you look through your wedding album.
Wedding Details
When it comes to booking your wedding at Blackberry Ridge, you can opt to book the space for a single day, or you can go all out and book their 3-Day/2-Night Package, complete with a two-night stay in their Honeymoon suite in the private tower overlooking the property with panoramic glass windows and a gorgeous balcony. With this indulgent package, you’ll also have access to the property from 7 AM on the first day of your stay through 1 PM on the third day, so you’ll have plenty of time to explore, get the space ready, and celebrate.
Regardless of whether you decide to splurge for the 3-Day package or stick to a 1-Day, you’ll still have access to plenty of the fantastic things the property has to offer, like fishing in their private stocked ponds, golf, patio games, paved walking trails, and even picking fresh fruit from their farm when it’s in season.
Plus, book your rehearsal dinner on-site, and you’ll receive access to a wedding ceremony rehearsal the day before your wedding and an open catering policy to bring in any food you’d like to share with your closest friends and family. Additionally, their on-site accommodations, The Cottage, and the Manor, are gorgeous spaces for up to 46 guests in case you want to keep the celebration going a little longer.
