About The Lumen House Wedding Venue

The Lumen House is one of the newest wedding venues in the South, opening its doors in the Summer of 2024. It has wasted no time in hosting some pretty unforgettable events since. This venue was curated for the highest level of luxury. Nestled on 50 picturesque acres, you will have total control of the space for your wedding day. The Lumen House is just 40 minutes outside of downtown Charlotte, providing a sense of seclusion without too much of a drive. It was opened in partnership with The Ranch Mine, giving you a brand new location married with years of invaluable experience.
Details of the Grounds
With The Lumen House, every second of your wedding celebration can take place on the grounds. Your rental will include exclusive full-day access starting at 9 AM. As you arrive on the property, you will be led to one of the two luxurious get-ready suites, where you will have everything you need to prepare for the day. Both rooms are outfitted with private restrooms, fridges, full-length mirrors, and attire hooks. Because the rooms are rich with natural light, your get-ready pictures will be positively flawless!
Once it’s time for your ceremony, you will have several choices. For couples who want an outdoor wedding, The Grand Courtyard is your spot. This area is able to fit up to 250 seated guests. You’ll make your way from the main house to the sunny field, where a white cathedral-style arch stands in front of green trees. Whether you choose to dress this space up with bushels of flowers or prefer to keep it simple, your wedding will be nothing short of dreamy!
If you prefer an indoor ceremony, you will be able to use the Reception Hall where you can hold up to 215 guests. This is a completely blank space that you can dress up in your preferred style. There are white cathedral ceilings with polished cement floors and French doors. The back of the room offers floor-to-ceiling windows with black panes that add a small, refined detail.
Micro-weddings can use The Greenhouse. This is an all-glass space that lets the natural light stream in while a crystal chandelier just adds to the sophistication. You will be able to host up to 100 standing guests or 50 seated guests.
Beauty Doesn’t Stop At Your Wedding Ceremony At Lumen House
Once your wedding ceremony has concluded, your guests will head to The Veranda, where they will have a covered space for your Lumen House cocktail hour. This area runs the perimeter of The Reception Hall, making it the perfect transition space from one part of the ceremony to the next. It also acts as a ceremony space in the case of rain. Your guests will be free to explore the grounds and sip on cocktails as you take in that beautiful golden-hour sunset for your wedding portraits.
Once it’s time for your reception, your guests will head inside to The Reception Hall. This space is outfitted for a completely legendary party! They invite you to bring in a DJ and lead your guests out on the dance floor for hours of celebration. They are going to provide the AV equipment and the lighting; you just bring the party! Because the decor is completely neutral, you will be able to use any decorations you’d like to dress up the space. From soft draping to whimsical bouquets of colorful flowers, you are going to be ready for it all.
Photography Opportunities
Because Lumen House was created specifically for weddings, they have taken photo spaces into consideration. Besides the natural lighting in every indoor space, they have a First Look Courtyard right next to the get-ready spaces. This cemented area features brick walls on three sides, adding an industrial touch to the otherwise rustic space. The venue’s open fields and woodsy surroundings will also give you a fabulous backdrop for sunlit pictures following your ceremony! The best part of this space, however, has to be the animals. The venue has the most adorable cows, and they invite you to include them in your photo session. These critters will add a special touch you’ll never forget!
Wedding Details
Now, let’s talk about all the wonderful ways Lumen House is going to spoil you during your wedding! Your wedding party will be the only one on the ground throughout the day, freeing you from any wedding crashers. Inside, you will have total climate control. The venue will allow you to use any caterer you’d like after you complete the pre-approval process. They do allow parking on the grounds, but because the area is not serviced by Uber or Lyft, they encourage you to book group transportation.
If you would like to turn your wedding day into a wedding weekend, you will have the freedom to rent out The Grove, a rental house on the property. It’s the perfect place to crash in comfort once the last dance has finished. The venue is completely ADA-compliant, and it’s dog-friendly! They just ask that you hire a day-of coordinator for your day to keep things running smoothly.
