About The Montaluce Winery Wedding Venue

While you may not instantly think “Georgia” when you think of great American wine regions, the soil type, sun exposure, and climate in the North Georgia Mountains are ideal for growing grapes. With a longer growing season, the fruit harvested at Montaluce has more complex flavors than in other regions, perfect for producing their award-winning wines made in their in-house winery.

While Montaluce is an agricultural business at its heart, its Southern hospitality affinity makes it the perfect place for hosting gatherings. Whether you are joining them at one of their two world-class restaurants or looking for a place to hold your dream wedding, Montaluce Winery knows what it means to be honored with the presence of good people.

In addition to their main building, which houses their restaurants, event spaces, and winery, there are four privately-owned Tuscan-style villas on the property that are available for rent. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian destination experience, book one for your wedding weekend – and there’s plenty of space in the other villas for family and close friends!

Details of the Wedding Grounds

Whether you envision a wedding with sprawling views of the vineyard-covered hillsides or a unique experience deep in the heart of the winery’s production spaces, Montaluce has put great thought into how you can utilize their space for an unforgettable wedding.

Before anything else, you and your wedding party can prepare for your ceremony in the Bridal Suite, complete with a private bathroom, vanity tables, clothing racks, and a mini fridge stocked with complimentary beverages (and food, upon request.) The Groom’s Room has an assortment of comfortable furniture, a 75” flat-screen smart TV, and plenty of space to kick back and relax before things start.

For your ceremony, you can say “I do” in various places, each spectacularly beautiful but with unique views. The Vineyard Outlook is located right behind the main winery building and has a stunning lookout over the vineyards and the property’s pond (up to 300 guests.) The Oak Tree location is just a short walk from the main winery building (don’t worry, they’ll shuttle limited mobility guests to the ceremony site for you). But, it allows you to exchange your vows before a stunning oak tree overlooking rolling hills of vines and the crystal blue pond (up to 300 guests).

Le Vigne Terrace is located just outside the main floor restaurant, and your guests can enjoy your ceremony from the intimate Tuscan-inspired patio that overlooks the vineyards (up to 100 guests.)

On the bottom floor of the winery building is the Wine Production Room, with industrial tanks, rustic barrels, and hundreds of candles creating an old-world romantic glow. The perfect spot for an indoor ceremony for up to 200 people, it’s also the backup space for any outdoor ceremonies needing relocation.

Your Gorgeous Reception

For your reception, there are several options for hosting your celebration. Smaller weddings (up to 100 people) can use the Tuscany Room and its private Terrace, located on the top floor of the winery building and overlooking the grounds with a magnificent bird’s eye view. Fun fact: the Terrace transforms into your reception dance floor following your ceremony! Le Vigne is Montaluce’s main restaurant, perfect for a cozy, elegant reception for up to 250 people. It has a spacious terrace, a two-room dining room, and beautiful touches like gas fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows.

If you’re looking for a REAL celebration, you can also rent out the entire winery building for the day of your wedding, so you and your guests will receive exclusive access to the entire 3-story building. You can turn the wine production room into your dance floor and serve cocktails on two stories of terraces for a truly unforgettable event!

Elopements at Montaluce Winery

While Montaluce can accommodate larger weddings, elopements can be just as romantic and special at the winery. Whether it’s just the two of you and your officiant surrounded by candles in the production space or tucked away onto one of the terraces overlooking the breathtaking property, you and your partner can have the ultimate elopement experience at Montaluce. To celebrate, treat yourselves to an indulgent dinner at one of their restaurants, and maybe rent one of the Villas for a romantic Tuscan getaway that doesn’t even require a passport.

Photography Opportunities

Montaluce Winery has unlimited photo ops, but we’ll try to use as many of them as possible while there. The rolling hills of vineyards are perfect for romantic shots of you and your partner, and those photos will exude that classic, Tuscan-inspired old-world charm. The ivy-covered exterior of the winery building is another fabulous backdrop with rustic elegance, as are each of Montaluce’s gorgeous terraces.

We can sneak into the production room for intimate, moody shots with low light and candles featuring winery accouterments like barrels and tanks. Your photos will exude elegance and romance, and you’ll be able to treasure your wedding album for the rest of time.

Regarding what your wedding package includes, they provide all cross-back wooden chairs for ceremonies, and wine barrels are available for optional decor. Pillar candles, candelabras, and tealights are provided for Wine Production Room ceremonies, and several other spaces have amenities that are unique to the needs and purposes of those specific sites.
