About The Georgian Terrace Wedding Venue

This historic hotel opened its doors in 1911. The grandeur of the building lured guests suck as President Coolidge and F. Scott Fitzgerald at its opening. The hotel’s purpose was to push Atlanta forward as the top city of the south with its crystal chandeliers and a grand ballroom. So your Georgian Terrace wedding would take place in a location filled with history.

Starting in the 1940’s Atlanta became a hot spot for movie premieres and the parties that followed them. Big-name movies such as Gone With The Wind and Walt Disney began holding their premier parties at the Georgian Terrace. Further solidifying it as a hub for the arts and culture of Atlanta. Furthermore, the 1970s brought in the Electric Ballroom music venue, and the headline acts. Concert promoter Alex Cooley transformed the ballroom into a concert venue that would feature many top-name acts. Some of the stars to grace this stage were Bruce Springsteen, the Pretenders, and Billy Joel.

The hotel also partners with the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). This brings in new art to be showcased throughout the building by SCAD fine art and photography graduates.

They do all this while still maintaining the Georgian Terrace as one of the most luxurious and sought-after hotels in Midtown Atlanta!
